Igor Zelensky
Kirov Ballet
Igor Zelensky studied at the Tbilisi Ballet School under Chabukyani
and then at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg.
In 1990, he won the gold medal as well as the grand prix at
the Paris International Competition. From 1992 until 1979, he
danced with the New York City Ballet where he enriched his repertoire
with over 25 ballets of Ballanchine, Robbins and Martins. Beginning
in 1996, Igor became a guest artist of London's Royal Ballet.
Here he will be performing La Bayadere, Romeo and Juliet, Apollo,
as well as Tchaikovsky pas de deux, Manon and Sleeping Beauty.
Igor still tours with the Kirov Ballet as well as guesting
with companies throughout the world Japan, Korea, England,
Holland, Italy, Greece, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, the United
States and Canada.
