Konstantin Zaklinsky Kirov Ballet Konstantin Zaklinsky was born in 1955 in Borisova Griva in Petersburg Province. He is an alumnus of St. Petersburg's Vaganova Ballet Academy, from which he graduated in 1974 and then joined the Maryinsky Kirov Ballet. Today, Zaklinsky is a principal dancer, performing leading roles in the classical repertoire. In 1988, Zaklinsky partnered Natalya Makarova on her historic appearance in London with the company she had left more than a decade before. Zaklinsky has performed on tour in Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, The United Kingdom and elsewhere.
