Dai Sasaki began his ballet training with Michiko
Sasaki at the age of six.
In 1990 he won the third prize at the Fourteenth
Varna International Ballet Competition; in 1991 the first prize
at the Ballet Competition in Memory of Malika Sabirove; in 1992
the first prize at the Second Permi International Ballet Competition;
and in 1994 the first prize at the Fifth USA International Ballet
Competition as well as the second prize at the Sixteenth Varna
International Ballet Competition.
