Yevgueni Kern

Bolshoi Ballet

Yevgueni Kern, Principal Dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet, was born in Sverdlovsk, Russia. He received his ballet training at the Choreographic Ballet Academy in Perm and the Moscow Ballet Academy of Moscow. He joined the Bolshoi Ballet in 1994 and has since danced many principal roles in many ballets including La Sylphide, Giselle, Cinderella, La Bayadere, The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Corsaire and Don Quixote.

Mr. Kern was the recipient of the top prize in the Rudolf Nureyev International Dance Competition. He is married to Bolshoi Principal Ballerina Nadezhda Grachova.
