Robert Conn
Stuttgart Ballet
Born in Magnolia, Arkansas, Robert Conn began his dance training
at the Little Rock Ballet Academy and completed his training
in 1986 at the North Carolina School of the Arts. He also attended
workshops with the American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey San Antonio.
As a student he danced with the Arkansas Ballet and with the
North Carolina School of Arts productions.
In 1986 he joined the Joffrey II Dancers. From 1988 until
1993, Mr. Conn was a senior corps member with the American Ballet
Theatre, performing many classical leading roles as well as works
by Twyla Tharp and Mark Morris. In 1993 he joined the National
Ballet of Canada as First Soloist.
Mr. Conn's film roles include the 1994 release Angie, starring
Geena Davis. He performed Roland Petit's Carmen pas de deux with
Karen Kain for a CBC TV special, and danced as a guest artist
in the Dancers for Life AIDS Gala. He performed at the XX Nijinsky
Gala in Hamburg and toured with Stars of the American Ballet.
